08 Nov Fresh noodles, toppings at Ramen Lab Eatery
Ramen Lab Eatery’s chief attraction is big bowls of noodles served with broth and exotic toppings. Ramen Lab also serves poke, fresh fish over rice or salad. The most expensive item on the menu is $18. Ramen Lab sells beer and wine.
Ramen Lab Eatery’s Delray Beach location occupies a space in a bustling restaurant area just north of Atlantic Avenue, where parking is at a premium. You order at the counter, then sit in a sleek dining area or at one of the handful of tables outside. There’s a 1980s-style arcade game and a pinball machine, both free. Ramen Lab also has locations in Boca Raton and at the Grandview Public Market in West Palm Beach.
OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE
We tried two ramen bowls, both excellent and filled with fresh noodles and toppings. The five spices duck ramen ($16) was tasty, although the duck was a tad tough. We also liked the miso ramen ($12) with pork belly and the small poke bowl ($12).
REASON TO GO
Cool vibe and tasty noodles.
Friendly and quick. Because you order at the counter, service isn’t a major factor.
A bit loud during our holiday weekend visit, but the atmosphere trends toward boisterous rather than contemplative.
That depends on your kids’ tastes. The atmosphere is relaxed enough that no one is likely to notice if your children misbehave.
